In Book One of THE BLANCHARDS WITCHES...Who is Olympia Blanchard?

Olympia Blanchard has lived a long and interesting life.  Her father was the great Constantinople Blanchard, renowned in the witching world.  She and her sister Pastoria grew up under his guidance learning to always protect the Natural order of the earth.

Olympia waited longer than most girls her age to get married.  She and her sister and their friend Zelda were rather busy continuing her father's work protecting the world from the unknown menaces regular folks never have to worry about.  Her first husband was John Windham, the father of her three daughters Artemis, Demitra, and Nacaria.  When John died, Olympia was left with three adolescent girls to manage and little finances to manage on.  She married another man named Martin Caswell.  He died very shortly after.  Olympia's third and final husband came to her quite by surprise in her silver years.  While in the middle of a heated legal battle trying to protect a section of land from big developers, Olympia went head to head with magnet Randolph Sinclair.  Between their fights and opposing viewpoints, they fell madly in love.

In her golden years, Olympia sits out most of the goings on of the witching world.  Raising three daughters alone and helping to raise five grandchildren has given her the right to rest.  Now she sits in her favorite front porch rocker and dispenses advice or piddles in her gorgeous rose garden she has spent years cultivating.

Though she rarely has cause to use them these days, Olympia has the powers of halting time and telekinesis--both of which were inherited by her granddaughter Salem.
